Ear infections?

I guess this has a little to do with the previous post about ear infections, but I wanted to know if there is anyone out there who's child has NEVER had an ear infection? If so, is there something you did/or didn't do that might have helped them stay ear infection free?? I don't know how to do clicky polls so I apologize in advance!

Mine was ear infection free until last week.

Hoping we could make it a whole year. My mom says that my brothers and I never had ear infections as babies, and we were water babies too. I think a lot of it has to do with genetics or something. Some kids are more incline to get them and others are not. Just my theory.

DS #2 hasn't had one yet. DS #1 was like 18 months before he had one and at almost 3, he's only had 2 total. Both times we had no symptoms besides a fever - he didn't complain about the ear, was sleeping fine, no pulling on the ear.

I don't think we've done anything to avoid them, my boys just don't seem prone to them.

DS #1 BF until he was 7 weeks and had his first ear incection at 9 months and has about 7 of them. They were all spread out so they didn't do tubes.

DS #2 BF until 11 months old and has had 3 ear infections. His first one was at 5 weeks old!! How that can happen.... I will never no. He has had two more, one at 5 months and one at 9 months!!

Ears drive me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
