During the winter months, we've always had to slather Geneva in Aquaphor because she'd get tiny rough patches on her back and stomach. They're not scaly or flaky - just rough, like fine-grit sandpaper. Pedi tells us it's mild eczema. The Aquaphor typically takes care of it.
Now, she has two tiny crusty spots on her scalp. They don't bother her, but I'd like to take care of them. They kinda look like cradle cap, so I'm assuming it's the eczema. What can I use to treat them? Should I dab a little Selsun Blue or T-Sal shampoo on them? We already only wash her hair every other day to keep things from drying out. And I don't want her having to walk around with olive oil all over her head.
Any suggestions for treating the spots?
Re: Eczema help
Aveeno makes an eczema lotion that usually clears spots like that for us. It's in the adult section, not in the children's section. I think the main ingredient is colloidal oatmeal, so if you can't find Aveeno, find something with colloidal oatmeal.

Lily has the same problem. Aquaphor on her body and for her hair it's selsun blue. If it is really bad, I use apricot oil (Burts bees baby oil) and let it sit while in the bath. Then I wash with selsun blue. We only use dove soap. My skin is insanely sensitive.

We've been using the Burt's Bees Baby Shampoo. I switched to it after the Method Baby Shampoo really dried her scalp out.
For her regular soap, the pedi recommended Dove liquid body wash (Sensitive). That helps a lot. Apparently, most natural body products don't contain emollients (which help lubricate the skin, etc.). The Method shampoo we'd been using was an all-in-one body wash/shampoo and it was drying her out all over.
I didn't think about putting the oil on before I washed. That might work. I could rub it on the spot as we're getting the bath ready and then wash it out.
