7th Gen vs Earth's Best

Right now we are using Cloth and gDiapers (and would like to start using AIOs or pocket), but the daycare we are leaning toward will only use disposable. So I would really like to use something that is a little better for the environment and baby. Has anybody used both 7th Gen and Earth's Best; which one do you like better? Or is there another 'natural' you would recommend?

I'm hoping that once I have my LO in daycare for a while I can talk them into cloth diapering. Most of the other daycares we looked at were willing, but we just didn't like the actual DC.

Thanks for your natural input!

Re: 7th Gen vs Earth's Best

  • We have used 7th gen and really like them

  • I also like 7th Gen.  I never tried Earth's Best. My friend uses Natures Babycare (which I think is the most EF) and loves them.

  • I've used both.  The back elastic in 7th Generation seems to irritate DS to the point of him getting an itchy rash.  That's the only reason we prefer Earth's Best over SG.

  • I've used Earths Best and liked them. Will the use the gdiapers with the disposable insert?
  • I've used both. I really like them both. I haven't had any major leak problems with either one unless I left him in one too long (as in there is no possible way I could ever get away with using one at night - I'd have to change him continuously through the night but that is the case with other non-EF paper diapers too).
  • I couldn't get dh or dc on board with cloth diapering so we do the best we can with naturally friendly disposables.  I love nature care, then earth's best and the 7th generation (my girls had a lot of blowouts with these)...we also used huggies pure & naturals and liked them ok...(actually a lot unti lthe last package which left little particles on the girls' skin) HTH.
  • What about if you provide them with enough covers and already put the disposable liner in it? I know it's like using cloth but they may use them that way?
  • Thank you all for your input. I think I will buy a package of each and have the daycare tell me which brand they prefer (out of EB, 7th and Nature Care).
