Mylicon drops- spit it out

She immediately spit it all out. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to squirt it farther back? Give her a finger to suck on at the same time? I don't think she knows how to swallow when not sucking, KWIM?

Help, please!

    I squirt it far back in her mouth, but to side--into her cheek and not down her throat. Then I massage her throat from the outside, which encourages her to swallow. HTH! On a related note, we do the same massage technique with our dogs when they have pills to take. I feel a little guilty doing the same thing to my child that I do to my dogs, but it works! And I dont have to do it all the time anymore. I think she's learning to swallow the meds when I put it in her mouth.

    I squirt it into my daughter's mouth and then immediately follow it with a binky (which she normally wants for a few minutes after anyway).
