...for inhaling cig smoke and not going bat poop crazy on the instigator.
So, Rom, Margaux and I are at my mom's house, watching Ponyo. My younger sister is downstairs, watching Enterprise on Netflix. The baby is napping on me on the couch, so I am immobilized. I smell cig smoke.
Now, my sister swears she doesn't smoke, but her car reeks of it. She's staying with my mom until she gets back on her feet from her marriage breaking up. My mom is on OXYGEN from lung damage from the time before she quit smoking, there's a baby in the house, and a (secretly) pregnant woman and I know she was smoking down in her room, and I didn't go down there and strangle her for being a selfish little narcissistic female dog!
GROWR. I feel better now, thanks.
Re: MAmy gets an Oscar, I get a purple heart.
POSITIVE it was not my mom. She quit when I was 14, and never looked back. My sister's car stinks of smoke.
I am so irritated that she would smoke in my mom's house, abusing her hospitality AND hurting mom's health. GRR!
You are very patient. I would have said a few words to the sister.

I know she's denying it- most likely because she knows people will be mad, disappointed, etc, but can you ask her to go outside to smoke? If you express your concerns to her, I would think that she would comply. At least I hope she would!
As I former smoker, I bet she is probably ashamed of the fact that she is smoking. It's a powerful addictions and smokers do not like to be attacked- it makes them want to smoke more. Maybe a rational "I know you smoke and that's your decision, but can you please smoke outside as to not endanger the health of you loved ones?" will help. Maybe once she admits it you can encourage her seek help.
When I smoked, I was very sensitive and secretive about it and the LAST thing I would ever want to do was bother someone, or worse, endanger someone else's health by my secondhand smoke.
I hope I don't sound like I'm defending her. Good Luck! (((HUGS)))
love the new M pic!
Yeah, the smoking with the oxygen is a huge no-no... DH's Great Aunt died that way. I will spare you the details, but was gruesome.
I would have gone apeshit, too. Sorry you had that happen.
OMG - I am so amazed you have lasted so long not telling anyone!
Ugh - I can't believe she is smoking.
