I shower at night when DH has LO - sometimes she's asleep, sometimes awak.
I take my usual 10 minute shower & do lotion, deoderant, etc, but I don't blow dry my hair or put on makeup.
Honestly, we're not leaving the house hardly at all, and I'm kind of a "throw in a pony tail and sweat pants" kind of girl, so it would be weird for me to blow dry my hair just to sit at home.
The one day I had to look "nice" (we went to my mom's for Christmas), I was able to put LO in the papasan while I showered, blow dried my hair, and put on makeup. I considered it a minor miracle that she was calm the whole time because normally she MUST be held all day!

I have started taking showers in the evening because I don't want it to be one more thing I have to "get through" in the morning before leaving for work.

I plan it for right after I feed him and I either put him in his crib asleep or put him in a laundry basket with a pillow in the bottom (ghetto, I know) and keep him in the bathroom with me. there have been one or two times when my mom was over and "babysat" so I could take a long shower.
How long of a shower do you get in?
I get in, get clean, get out. there was one time when I heard him crying in his crib and jumped out of the shower naked and soaking wet to check on him. since then I prefer the laundry basket in the bathroom so I can just peek at him to make sure he's okay and that way I know the dog isn't bugging him.

I've been letting it air dry most of the way then blast it with hot air and some mouse so it has at least a tiny bit of body by the next morning. :sigh:

only if I'm going out and even then I've been keeping it minimal. just eyeliner and mascara and blush haha.
When do you ladies sneak showers in? Usually in the morning, sometimes afternoon creeps up on me though and that's when it happens...I guess it depends how our night is because that dictates how long we sleep into the morning.
Do you get a shower in the morning, afternoon or evening? Morning, generally somewhere between 9 and 11am, depending on what's going on.
Is LO asleep when you shower or is someone else taking care of them? I usually shower when she sleeps. I have been known to jump in when she's calm in her swing, but usually she's asleep. It is nice on the weekends though to know DH is around and watching her, that's when I take loooong showers.
How long of a shower do you get in? Probably 15 mintues, longer if I shave - but I only do that if she's asleep. Also if she's asleep or content in the Newborn to Toddler rocker I'll bring it into the bathroom and she stays quiet in it. I think she likes the sound of the bathroom fan.

Dare I ask if you are able to put on makeup? Makeup??? I don't normally wear makeup so I'm certainly not rocking it now.
I either shower in the morning, during LO's awake/calm time, and at night when DH get's home from work. LO is usually awake from 8-12 and very calm/alert. I feel bad just putting him in the pack n play while he's awake, but I know he won't wake up and start crying. Otherwise DH has him.
LO is usually awake or DH is taking care of him.
I shower about 5-10 mins if Lo is in the PnP, 15-20 if DH has him.
I have gotten a few blow dries in, but I generally don't try to. I HAVE gotten to straight iron my hair a few times WOOT!
I only put on make up if I am going somewhere special.
When do you ladies sneak showers in? Whenever I can. Lately, C has been cooperative in the morning so that's been a good shower time.
Is LO asleep when you shower or is someone else taking care of them? Usually he's sleeping, but occasionally he's just awake. I put him in his bouncer seat on the floor in the bathroom and sing to him while I shower. Haha
How long of a shower do you get in? Five minutes, tops. If DH is home, he'll take C and I'll take as long as I darn well want and maybe even shave my legs!!

Shower? What's that? I shower like every other day...or so. :-I I'm thinking I need to start a better routine. I seriously wish our house was not a constant CF because of the remodel, I'm starting at like a negative 50 on the organizational scale. It makes new baby even harder to handle.
I have showered three times since I've been home from the hospital...part of that though is being super dizzy from recovery.
I had a shower yesterday morning while my husband watched the baby. I didn't dry my hair although I did put on make up because we were going on our first walk and I wanted to take pictures and without makeup I look like death. After standing in the shower and putting on makeup I wanted to take a nap.

Do you get a shower in the morning, afternoon or evening? I take my full shower every morning (hair wash, leg shave, the works) and sometimes I'll take a quick shower at night before bed.

Are they that amazing? I saw one at Marshall's like a week and a half ago for $50. If they are this amazing, I seriously might go back tomorrow and buy it.

I shower in the morning, usually right after LO's feeding...unless I'm lucky enough for him to be sleeping late (which is a HUGE rarity!)

I don't normally blow dry my hair, it's usually a messy bun or scrunchy waves, which really doesn't take that much time. But I do straighten my bangs, which still only takes about 1 minute.

Yup, I do not leave my bedroom with out atleast foundation on. But I always have time for whole make-up routine.
The one thing I would love to have time for though is shaving!! I can only do that on mornings that DH or someone is home to watch Rocco. However, I probably could try to see if I could fit it in while he is in the bathroom with me, but I don't want to rush that.
I sneak showers in whenever I can, DH has taken a lot of time off the past few weeks for the holidays, but when he is working its harder and might not happen.
Usually I take one midmorning during LO longer nap.
LO is asleep usually, or I just put him in his rocker or bassinet if I think he will be ok not crying for 10 minutes. The mobile seems to entertain him for those quiet alert moments.
Less than 10 minutes from start to finish unless DH is home. I got to shave my legs for the first time in awhile today-so that was a bit longer!
Usually I blow dry at least a little since it is cold, but sometimes only the first stages and then throw in ponytail. Some days I skip the hairwash altogether.
Makeup doesn't take me that long- less than 5 minutes to I try to do it most days, but then again on days when we have no visitors or errands no makeup is more realistic.

I can usually get a shower in within an hour of when I want to any time during the day. I just give DS a bottle and he will usually go down for a nap if I encourage it. Shower can last as long as I want it because he will usually sleep for 1-3 hours when I put him down for a nap. Blow dry is a must or I will look like a yeti when my hair air drys. Now that I think about it....I haven't done makeup in a while.

How long of a shower do you get in? Like I said, if DH is watching him I'll take my sweet time. I'm actually about to attempt my first "solo" shower since today is the first day DH is back to work and I'm alone at home.

I think I've washed my hair 3x since DS was born (that's really not far off from normal, I have really dry hair that hates to be washed). In a moment of brilliance (not) I had my long bangs re-cut into my hair a week before LO was born. They're a total PITA--my hair is really wavy and they were never an issue back when I had time to straighten/style them, but now they're just this big poof in the front of my head.
Dare I ask if you are able to put on makeup? Ha. I'd always been the type of girl who wouldn't go to the grocery store w/o makeup on. Now, I think I've done a full face only once since his birth (Christmas). I try to do a 5 minute face if I'm going to be seeing people (and bronzer keeps my MIL from telling me I've lost color in my face)
