  • Buy the opaque night light bulbs. I've seen them in white, blue and pink.  I'm trying to wean DS off his super bright nightlight, so we've switched to the white light bulb vs the clear.

  • We use the twilight turtle. I am not sure if it what you are looking for but my LO loves it. I consider the light it displays dim. The light turns off after 20 minute.

  • We have the Vick's plug-in thingy that you put little scented pads in. It has a teeny tiny green light on it that I like.

My parents got DS one for Christmas, and he LOVES it!  We turn that on when he is falling asleep (it stays on for 45 minutes) and then there is a little wall plug-in nightlight that stays on all night.  It is pretty dim, I got it at Walmart in the lighting department.  It was only about $3, and it comes on when the room darkens.
