Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Frustrated with lack of weight loss?

I suppose I could consider it a success that I didn't gain any weight over the holidays, but I started a month of Bikram (hot) yoga just before Christmas, and I've been going an average of 5 times per week. I lost 2 pounds right away, but nothing since. That class burns AT LEAST 600 calories a class, and I'm not eating like a total pig or anything at home, so I just wanted to vent my frustration!

15 weeks PP, and I let myself gain 60 pounds while pregnant, so not I'm stuck with almost 20 still to go. I know, I know - 9 months up, 9 months down, but I just needed to vent momentarily that I have been working my butt off the last 2 weeks with no rewards from the scale yet. Totally annoying!

  • I understand your frustration. I bet you're gaining a bunch of muscle with that class of yours. The main thing is how you feel, right? If you are feeling healthier, than that's what I would focus on.

  • I have stalled in my weight loss too. I gained 40 during pregnancy and lost 20 of it automatically. Now I just have 20 more to go and I can't lose a pound if my life depended on it. I so feel your pain.

This is me as well. It's killing me! But I guess it'll come off eventually. I just can't imagine that my body is holding on to 20 lbs due to BF... frustrating.

I am BFing too! And EVERYONE is surprised I still have that last 20lbs. My family tends to lose the baby weight quickly and man, I am itching to get this weight off.

I am in the same boat, 20 to go and its driving me crazy. I am BFing as well and it is much harder for me to lose weight because of that. I am not one of the lucky "weight just melted off" ones. Trying not to be too hard on myself!

  • I feel your pain!

My baby is 4 months and I still have the stubborn 10 pounds to lose!

My stomach is still poochy.  :(

I had a c-section and I really think that I am still healing.
