Being induced tomorrow!!!

I am almost 39 weeks and am being induced because I am measuring small and have low amniotic fluid.  The doctor is going to insert cervidil in the pm and start pitocin in the am wednesday morning. Does anyone have any experience with being induced? I'm concerned that the cervidil will hurt going in/being removed.  I'm also concerned that since I'm only 1cm currently that the labor will be lengthy because my body isn't ready to deliver. Also, does anyone know if you're allowed to get up and move around with the cervidil in? Ahhh!!!! I'm excited but nervous!

    I had Pitocin to help speed things up. I'm not sure about cervidil but I would think you should be able to move until you get an epi (if you do).

    I was induced with DD#1 - going in I was at 2cm.  My dr didn't use cervidil, but I had pitocin.  I had a great experience being induced!  I started pitocin at 8am, had my water broken (by the doctor) at 10:30am; got the epi around noon, took a nap in the afternoon and woke up around 4pm and was at 10cm.  Pushed for about 40 minutes and out came our little girl!

    I walked in the hospital doors, not dialted at all, to be induced and had my daughter 7 hours later. Just because you are only 1cm, doesnt mean it will be long.

    I was induced but didn't have cervidil. I was 2-3cm dilated and 70% effaced when I went in. It was a 5.5 hour labor, and it went perfectly! GL to you!

    Woah, I hope to have a similar experience to yours when I go in tomorrow for my induction!

    relax....i had the same thing with baby#1  cervadil in pm then broke my water in am...i was already 3cm.... i had back labor pains, (idk if thats from cervadil or not)

     I"m getting induced also in my 39th week don't want to but my HBP or PreEclampsia. is making my doctor nervous but everything has been good for about 3 weeks... i don't know myself being my first child and all but the internet has been really helpful in my pregnancy for all my questions and concerns...do research on things that concern you and procedures you never heard of...side affects and risk can cause serious problems in delivery....some doctors like to do procedures just cause so make sure you get the facts and state your concerns  other than that good luck and god bless and be with you....
