2nd time + mom's- 2nd pregnancy less symptoms?

Hi Ladies,

So I got a BFP a couple of weeks ago, and due to the holidays my Dr's appointments have been delayed... But here is my question, I am about 6 weeks pregnant and I have ZERO symptoms beside a missing period and a BFP...

With my first pregnancy, my boobs were super sore, crampy and I had MAJOR morning/all day sickness... This time zero... I don't know whether to count myself lucky or to be worried...

 Thoughts?

  • Each pregnancy is different.  Don't stress about it.  Consider yourself lucky and enjoy the ride.

  • Enjoy it while you can. First time around I was sick from day 1. This time it started at 7 weeks and hasn't stopped. Not much throwing up but constant nausea, major constipation, ugh! Count yourself lucky and hope it will continue!

  • I had a miscarriage before, though I had symptoms then too, and I guess I am just nervous...

  • I have been sick since conception this time... last time I had mild nausea from 8-15 weeks... so it is complete opposite

  • I'm having things I didn't have the first time, and I don't know whether they are pg related.  First, I am freezing my butt off all the time. I cannot get warm.  My toes are tingly and practically numb when I am outside, even if wool socks. I also have been having a lot of cramping and some fatigue.  Last time, I had sore breasts but that was it.  I'm still nursing #1 so I don't know if that contributes to the different symptoms.  I think you just can't make any predictions.
  • Exact opposite here. I didn't have many symptoms the first time around, my boobs were sore, but I didn't get sick at all. This time i'm lucky if I don't throw up several times a day. I wouldn't stress about it, enjoy it. I'm jealous!

  • So far, I have less symptoms.  First time around I had horrific MS, bordering on HG.  This time, my main symptom is extreme fatigue and a little twinging in my boobs.  I noticed prior to my BFP I was a bit moody, too.  That being said, I don't know how far along I am yet, so the MS could certainly be on its way.

  • Last time, like pp said, sick from day 1 until about 3 hours before my water broke.  This time, I'm not really feeling bad at all.  I sometimes forget I'm pregnant until my boobs hurt after my bra comes off, I'm starving after eating 15 minutes earlier, or my Super Woman sense of smell gets a whiff of something.  I'll take the hunger over being sick any day!!

  • My symptoms are a lot worse this time around.

  • At 6 weeks, I had 0 symptoms. With DD, I knew I was pg before I even got BFP becuase it all started so early - the sore boobs, the queasiness, the complete exhaustion, the HUNGER ... but with the deuce it was nothing, i felt fine.

Then all of a sudden around 7 weeks it all started - and this has been the pregnancy from hell, let me tell you. I lost 8 lbs in 2 weeks from vomiting and naseau (I didn't throw up once with DD). I am so tired I can barely move. I am ridiculously constipated, haven't pooped in days.

So - point is, it could definatley still kick in! Hopefully it doesn't and you remain blissfully symptom free :)
