FI wants to be involved in everything (with LO), and I love that, but he will argue and argue with me about what we need and when we need it.
We have the crib, yet no mattress or bedding. He keeps putting it off, and I told him tonight while shopping that we might as well get it while we're here, b/c it's getting closer and closer to LO's arrival. He doesn't seem to believe me. He just keeps thinking we have all the time in the world. He also thinks that the EDD is when baby will arrive. ![]()
I adore this man, but I HATE him trying to be in control of everything and acting like he knows it all when this is his first child! Umm...dude, I've been through this before. I think I know what I'm talking about.
He's just gotten so bossy with everything, so while he's at work tomorrow, I think I'll head into the city and pickup the rest of what we need. So what if he doesn't love it, right??!
Re: I may just do it by myself
Definitely a man thing... lol!
I've been asking my DH to do a bunch of stuff for a while now and it hasn't been finished, although I'm expecting it to be when I get home. We had a massive fight this morning and he always does the stuff I've been nagging him about after a fight to try to make up to me.
Glad to know my Hubby isn't the only one with this attitude. Quite frankly, if I don't do it myself it doesn't get done then he'll get upset if I do it myself. Or I have to ask his mom to ask him to do it because for some reason when she brings it up, the situation is all the more important.
I will never understand it, but sometimes boys have no literal sense of time.
