Kendrick ?

My Dh and I can not agree on names at all.  We have been through the baby book 100 times.  He hates mine and I hate his.  He threw this one at me last night and I'm thinking about it. I don't hate this one..but not sure about it either.  I have never heard it before.

    I went to HS with a guy named James Kendrick J. 

     

    He HATED his middle name with a passion. I have no idea why, it is a nice name, but he was so embarrassed of it for some reason.

    I grew up next door to a Kendrick. He is now a financial planner and I think its a very professional name. He never went by Ken or Kenny. It was always Kendrick. I am a fan of the name.

    Ken and Kenny is what I am afaird of people calling him.  I don't like either of those names.

    It's not a popular name which is what got me thinking of the name....all my favorites are super popular right now. Four are in the top 10!

    I used to have a big crush on a guy named Kendrick in HS.  he had braces :)  I like the name!

    I like it. Don't be afraid of the nick-name thing, we almost didn't name ours Andrew because we loathe ANDY - but so far (and he's almost 3) no one has called him that more than a few times. And when they do, we just say 'it's Andrew', and that's that- pretty quick resolving! :)  Just tell people 'It's Kendrick'! :)

    I have heard it many times before.  A common nickname is Ken, if you don't mind that (it will most assuredly come around).

    i kind of like it and i don't think that i've ever heard it before.  it sounds familiar to me though, but i think that it's just because it kind of sounds like hendrix.

    I like it but I am all about pairings. For example, my last name is long so we decided on a short first name. See how it sounds with your last name.

    I love it! But then, I'm biased, Kendrick is my favorite cousin's name.  He goes by Ken generally, but sometimes would be called Ricky.

    We are having the same issues with boy names. I think I've looked up every name in every book. 

    Kendrick sounds a bit stuffy to me. But again, I have an objection to every boy name we come up with so I'm probably not the best person to ask. lol
