When going into labor should my contrax be painful or just timeable? The dr. has told me repeatedly that if they are 5 min. apart that I should call. I am having them about 5-6 min. apart for the last hour but nothing very painful, just some cramping here and there.

Re: Contrax
if your contrax are constant regardless of whether you move or you switch positions, etc. Then it's real. I keep having false labor - no pattern, if I move I can cause the contrax to be delayed or stop altogether.
At this point, if I can get to 5-6 mins in an hour I would call in and go.
FWIW, some of my contrax have been painful and some of them haven't been and it's still not "real" labor.
