Help my bottom feels as if its going to fall out!!!!

Just wondering if anyone else is expieriencing  contractions  and pressure in vaginal area when they occur. It almost feels like my bottom is going to drop out when i have one,  so far this morning within a two hour time frame 5 horrible contractions. btw i will be 36 weeks tomorrow with a scheduled c/s on 1/21/2011. I'm wondering if i should go to L&D just to have them check me out...... so confused and tired at this point.   Sad

    Maybe you could call your doctor's office and have the on-call doctor call you back and give you some advice.

    Somehow I just don't think my advice would be as good.But... here it is...  Since you're preterm, I would think that you should go in to L&D. If you were full term, I would probably say to just wait it out at home.

    I had that all last night. My contractions were very inconsistent though, ranging from 15 mintues to 3 minutes for about a 4-hour time period. Almost every single one though had that pressure-on-the-cervix feeling, which I really hope was me dilating more! If I have contractions like that again at any point today or tonight, I am certainly calling my doc. Very uncomfortable, to say the least. DH was worried that it was the real thing... I went to bed anyway, figuring if it was, 1- they would even out in consistency and time apart and 2- they'd wake me up.

    This sounds exactly like what I had going on last Sunday and part of Monday.  And it lead nowhere :( 

    I think you should call your Doctor and see what he/she says, but unless your contractions are closer together/timeable, it may be nothing right now.  GL!

    So I ended up going to L&D  and was monitored for 5 hours and 3 injections of terbutaline and fluids given contractions that were 2-3 mins apart eased up and eventually went away....  Thank god!!!!   i just got home and resting comfortably  i have a few more weeks to go  then i will have my LO in my arms!!!
