I am going in 2 weeks on a cruise, we are stopping at Naussau and Freeport. We have never been there nor have any of my frequent traveler friends. Has anyone been there and can tell some exciting things to do?

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
We went in 08-honestly, we didn't do anything and that was what made it so fun! We never ventured off the resorts and stuck to the pool or beach all day.
We spent 3 nights in Freeport for DH's work conference, so he was in meetings while I was at the pool, there was a lot of arranged activity there, the hotel was relatively interesting and there was shopping and local restaurants across the street. We stayed at the Westin, then we went to Atlantis, which was nice but very Vegasy-full of TONS of kids, very busy and loud, there's a lot to do there.
Our third stop was the Four Seasons on Great Exuma. It was amazing, but it's closed since, I think it's under new management. It's beautiful there! You're going to have so much fun!!!
ETA: I forgot we swam with dolphis at Atlantis-it was cool they push you with their nose! That was the only real planned activity we did, I'm sure there's more to do though if you want.

We went to Nassau on a cruise stop. We did the snorkeling/private beach Rum Runner excursion. It was by far the BEST snorkeling I have ever done. The fish swam right up to you and we were even able to touch a few! We then went to Senior Frogs in town. Super fun, but beware the drinks are VERY STRONG! After an hour my DH and I were wasted! I second not paying full price in the markets! There will be "orphan kids" trying to put jewelry on you for "free" and they will then pester you until you pay. So do not accept anything or let them "try anything on you."
Have fun!
