Happy Friday and NYE!
Well, Kimo and Nick are doing well. Kimo is on room air and Nick has a nasal canula to help him a little more. They have lost a few ounces but that's normal the first week. They are very feisty but are big sleepers. When M and I hold them, they are very comfortable and relaxed. I hate seeing all those wires and stuff but as long as they are ok. Nick hasn't pooped for a couple days so if he doesn't by today they are going to uh, stimulate his butt.
My milk is coming in and good lord, my boobs are hurting. They are huge and swollen. I have to go get a couple new bras! I have just been able to pump a little so hopefully my real milk comes in soon. They are on donated breast milk still combined with my stuff. Pumping is frustrating...I had no idea. Walking is still a little hard but I am just taking it slow. The area above my incision hurts still but I have pain meds. My feet are SWOLLEN! omg....so although it's freezing out, I am wearing flip flops.
And here's some pics for your viewing pleasure. M finally held Kimo last night and it was the best thing ever. He was so happy. I stayed with Nick (their incubators are right next to each other) but we wanted Nick to rest.
First one is Nick. He is so sweet. Everytime we just sit with him, he wakes up and opens his eyes. He has more strawberry blonde hair and Kimo has light brown with a lot of blonde.
Then here's Kimo. That is M holding him. Now my boys are small but when M holds him...omg. It's just too cute, they look even smaller.
Also, thank you again for the continued support and prayers. These last few months have been very hard. It's even harder leaving these boys every night. I just want to stay there. So, thank again for helping me through this.
Re: update on boys and other stuff. :)
I love them! I'm glad to hear they are doing so well, and that you're getting along all right. I can't imagine it's easy after 2 (3?) months on bed rest.
Miss you!
