That's the same one we just registered for as well. I was debating between this and the Peg Perego. In the end we went with the Chicco because it had such great safety ratings as well as functionality.

We are looking at this same one! I am bouncing back and forth between the miro and limonata patterns right now!
Can I ask what kind of car you drive? I am just curious -- I drive an '05 Toyota Corolla and could barely fit my nephew's car seat in there. It was a Graco Snugride, I believe, and I had to scoot the passenger seat ALL THE WAY up and it still barely fit.
We just bought 2 of these for the boys, in Fuego (bright red). Both of them fit in the back of my accord, side by side, and there's still enough leg room up front for my 6'3" husband. They're pretty too

Good to hear - we are deciding between the Chicco and Britax. H's friend's wife works for Britax and can get us a great deal if we go with that one (not that this is the deciding factor - but Britax is expensive so it's nice). We got the Uppa Baby Vista which is compatible with few seats - Chicco being one so that would be convenient. Both get great safety ratings - I do like the idea of the rebound bar on Britax. Out of all the baby items - this is the one I'm having the most difficult decision with for safety reasons.
What other seats did you consider besides the Chicco?
We got this seat in Discovery for DS... I loved it. It's super easy to lug around, not too heavy and I think Chicco has adorable patterns. I'd recommend highly as well!
"Right beside you is where I belong... from this moment on."
We had it in Romantic (black and grey) for Cole, and will now be Owens. LOVE it.
Another HUGE plus is that the handle can be in ANY locked position in the car, not just down behind the head - great for compact cars. You'll find most car seats require the handle to be locked in the DOWN position for actual travel. It also has the highest weight limit, and the shell is tall so it lasts longer. I also really liked the full body newborn cradle insert, which holds the whole body, versus just the head support on the Graco.
Consumer Reports also gives it the highest safety rating out of the infant car seats.
The downside is the fabric - Cole would sweat BUCKETS in it in the summer. I have heard similar complaints from other moms, the fabric really doesn't breathe. However, that's such a small downside that the other benefits outweighed it for us.

Oh thanks Patty, that is good to know!
