car seat issues....ds is too big

I thought the seat we had would last a while but at 3 yrs and 32 lbs, the straps are as far as they will go. what's the next step carseat i need?

Maybe a different brand of carseat. We have a Britax Boulevard and it fits DS well. He's 39" and 35 pounds with a really long torso and I think he'll fit in it for a couple more years.

He seems pretty average size. Have you taken the carseat out and looked to see if the straps can be lengthened in the back?

This was my first thought too. Have you called the manufacturer?

when DH got home I told him he needed to do that. When I try to let out slack I see the tag and the sewed ends that wrap around the thingy in the back that holds the straps on. excuse my technical language

What kind of car seat is he using now??

If he has truly outgrown it, I'd go with a Graco Nautilus or Britax Fronteir. That should last him a long time!

How tall is he?

If he's already FF (I'll assume that he is), I would go with a high back convertible booster w/a 5 point harness.
