Cookbooks rave

My sister got my Deceptively Delicious and The Sneaky Chef for Christmas and at first looking it I thought that there was no way I'd be cooking some of those meals on a nightly basis because some of them require kind of a lot of ingredients. But I decided to start out really simple and made the "Pita Pizza's" from the DD cookbook and it was really easy, fast and GOOD!

Dd eats her veggies pretty good but honestly our entire family could stand to all eat more so I love that these cookbooks kind of hide it. The pita pizzas were really easy and had spinach puree that dh and I could still taste it and we liked it but if dd had known it was spinach she totally would have spit it out and she ate 3 slices herself!

Wow I sound like a salesperson, LOL I swear I'm not ; )

  • Good to know....I just received the DD book a few days ago.  How is the Sneaky Chef book?

I don't like it quite as much as the DD book, mostly because I'm a visual person and the DD has more pictures of the food than the sneak chef. But it still has lots of great ideas.

  • The Chicken Cannolinni from The Sneaky Chef is delicious :)
  • I've got both of the Jessica Seinfeld books. Just got her new one for Christmas and can't wait to try some of the recipes. Another time saver...use store bought baby food purees if you don't have time to puree your own. :)
