So it seems like many of us have spilled the beans to at least a few family/friends. What has been your favorite baby telling reaction?
For me it was telling my husband's family. His siblings are done having kids so they were all super excited for the news since the youngest is now 3. We signed DH's mom's bday card with love, DH, Angie, and baby to be. It was priceless.
Re: What is best news spilling reaction?
We had a friend take a picture of my husband and I holding a sign saying "oh baby, 8-15-11", I bought cute baby picture frames and wrapped them up for Christmas. My mom's reaction was awesome! She started opening the frame, looked at it, looked at me, then jumped up and started screaming and crying. My dad had no clue what it was, but he soon figured it out. They're just a little excited...hehe!
When my MIL was opening up hers, my 4 1/2 year old niece couldn't help herself anymore, since she had found out at my FIL's house a few days earlier, she yelled out Kenny and Betsy are having a baby! She's so excited to come visit me in the hospital she told her mom. We had a blast telling the family.
I made a little sign for ds that said "I'm going to be a big brother!". I took a picture of him holding it, and then framed it in a Grandma frame for my MIL. DH and I told her, that she was really going to like what Braylan (DS) got her for Christmas and she would have to open it with the rest of the family presents on xmas eve. I have video of everyone's reactions. I should put it up for everyone. It was awesome.
I took a photo of a few of my pregnancy tests nestled in our tree as 'ornaments' and put it in a baby frame. When my MIL opened it she started screaming and jumping up and down.. there was even a joy dance! Perfect reaction.
We had to call my MIL because we only see her once a year. We had her on speaker phone and when DH told her she was screaming at the top of her lungs I am going to be Granny and you could tell she was running around the house like a crazy women. DH started tearing up. It was great.
My siblings was the best. We told them before my parents (I made my parents Grandma and Grandpa keychains for Christmas as our way of telling them)
My younger brother stood there in shock, my baby brother ran over and hugged me saying I made his day, and my sis screamed. My sis NEVER screams, squeals or anything like that so it surprised me!
