NTR: Recommend your plastic food storage sets

We are looking to get rid of our mis-matched food container sets and get some new ones that are easy to keep together, microwaveable, dishwasher safe, BPA free, etc.

Any recommendations??

Thank you so much!

  • We had for a long time those "As seen on tv" ones like this:

    https://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/179-3739320-6291160?asin=B00078SO6M&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=|B00078SO6M&CPNG=kitchen&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B00078SO6M&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001

It was good for what it was, but around the time we had DD, I got freaked out enough about microwaving plastic that we got rid of all our plastic storage stuff and switched to Pyrex.   It's much more convenient than I anticipated.  It stacks as well as our prior plastic stuff and I'm not worrying about BPA or some other plastic chemical.  It also cleans really nicely.

Thank you!  We have the ones you linked above and they have certainly seen  better days.  I love the sizes, the fact that they all use the same lid, etc, but they are really getting marked up, some even cracked!  DH just mentioned possibly getting glass ones, but I'm so worried I'd drop them- especially since I use these every day for work!

    Thanks for your reviews!!

  • I find glass ones are really heavy to take to work. But I use them at home for some things. Mostly, we use Tupperware brand for storage, freezing, and microwaving (which we do very little of since we don't own a microwave). Tupperware is BPA free.

  • Thank you, ladies!  I LOVE Tupperware and use it for DD at daycare.  I'll have to wait to get a new special or catalog.  DH was checking out the Rubbermaid Premier (similar to the easy find lids ones).

    Thanks again!

    We have this set:

and I really like it.  It has every size I need and the right number for the amount of leftovers we have.

We have these too & love them.
