Trouble TTC

Help with questions for my OB...

I have an appt. with the OB on Monday...

Basically I made the appt. myself out of frustration.

I am on cycle 21 (8 of which I couldn't TTC since I had part of my cervix removed).  So really, 13 cycles.  I had CD3 b/w done...came out normal.  In October I met with a midwife instead and showed her my charts, etc and she had DH get an SA and my thyroid checked (which came back normal).

Anyway, I called the office about 10 times for the results of the SA and they "never had them"  "were waiting for them" and so on.  Finally I said, just make an appt. for me with the OB...and here I am.

I am going to obviously ask for her to get the SA results for me since that was done in November!

Where else do I go for her?  Do I expect too much?  I feel like they should be looking into more things...am I wrong?

~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

Re: Help with questions for my OB...

  • Wow, you are patient. I would have thrown a huge hissy fit by now! There is no excuse for a SA to take that long. You do not expect too much. You need to feel like a valued patient. I would express your concerns (why did the SA results take so long, what other tests should be run, what is the plan from here) and if you don't walk out with a new plan in place and feeling your concerns were adequately addressed than I would consider looking for another doctor. Good Luck!

  • I would strongly suggest, along with demanding the SA results, requesting a referral to an RE. A specialist will be more on top of his/her game. GL :)
