Registry Completion Discounts?

A question for third-tri moms who are farther along than I am and registered at Babies R Us and/or Target: When did you recieve your registry completion discount (ie. how far before your due date?). Also, does Target have a registry completion discount, and if so, what percent off is it?

BRU and Target give 10% off. Target gave me a coupon for 10% off an entire order, while BRU just gives 10% off whatever is still on the registry.

I got my Target one about 2 wks ago, but I think I lied about my edd to get it early.

I haven't gotten my BRU one yet. I was at the store today and they said it comes 2 wks before or after your edd. With DS it came after. However, when I asked about it today while there shopping for some last minute things, they went ahead and just gave me the coupon now.

I can't exactly remember when I got it with DS. I know it was before I had him, but I also put my due date a month earlier to ensure that I got it before he was born so I could get anything else that I still needed,

I got both BRU & Target completion coupons right at the 36w mark, and put my actual due date on both registries.

I got my target completion discount in the mail yesterday, for 10% off anything on my registry and also 3 diaper coupons and I am 34.5 weeks and I put my real EDD on my registry info.

I was told by a cashier at babies r us that they usually give you their registry completion discount about 2 weeks before your due date. But he said if I already had my shower and wanted to get the coupon earlier I could just go in to the store, and ask for the manager for it, but only thing is once you do that it closes out your registry all together afterward so you don't want to do that until your 100% done with the registry.

Same here. I think I got them both between 35 and 36 weeks, and I used my actual due date.

BRU will print out the 10% for you in the store. Just ask. They have dont it for me twice (hint).

BRU is 10% off whatever is left on your registry. ALSO it has to be the exact item on your registry not any type of variation. For instance, if you picked a blue graco stroller on your registry but had to get the same stroller but in green because thats what the store had, then they dont give you the 10% off. So when I found this out, I went to the store and matched up all the stuff in the store and put them on my registry so I made sure I got the 10% off. That's why I ended up having the coupon printed twice.

Another good thing is BRU lets you stack coupons so if you can, try to time everything so you can use all your coupons at once for the biggest savings.

Thanks for all the responses, I wish I'd thought of putting the due-date a little earlier from the get-go. Good to know that BRU will give a coupon if asked for in store, I'll probably take use of this :-)
