So sick of these contractions

So...I was woken up at 2am (after going to bed at 12:30am) with really strong and painful contractions. They continued, regularly, at 10mins apart for the next 5 1/2 hours. The closest they got was 7-8 mins towards the end of that time. Since I've had some problems with contractions just randomly stopping, my rule for L&D is 2hrs at 5mins. At the 7:30, I was finally able to force myself back asleep, but only for 45 mins, during which I know I felt another 2 or 3. When I woke back up, I was wide awake again, so I got up. Since then, my very regular contractions have become erratic at best. Sometimes 10 mins, sometimes 5, sometimes 15, sometimes 20-30. They are still very strong and painful. This is getting very frustrating and hard to deal with.

On top of it all, despite only having a total of 2 1/2 of sleep, I have a ton of energy and am very antsy. I just want to do stuff. Hubby on the other hand is exhausted even though I waited until 5am to wake him up and tell him. He is actually trying to nap now.

I guess I don't really have a point, just venting because I'm miserable.

    Ahhhh. Very aggrevating! Looks like you are so close though. I really hope things progress for you quicker so you can get a little relief.

    I had this same experience for about 4 days before I had Olive. You're so close!

    Thanks ladies. I'm still have erratic contractions include one that I swear felt like it lasted an hour just pulsating at 5-10 min intervals and never fully relaxing in between. I'll be glad when this is over.
