I was supposed to be induced at 6:45am. And as much as I wanted/want to go natural it's really ANNOYING that I am still sitting at home waiting for a bed to be available for me. I'm hoping still that he will come on his own between now and whenever they [don't] call, but seriously, HOW MANY PEOPLE GO INTO LABOR ON ONE DAY IN THE SAME HOSPITAL!
Gosh.
Sorry, venting.
Re: Supposed to have been induced this morning....
That sucks. I hated that wait when I was being induced with my first. I really hope this one decides to come before 37 and 38 weeks by herself instead of waiting until 39 weeks like C did. GAH!
Good luck I hope he comes soon! Or that a bed opens up!
Definitely, should go away. Your hormones are obviously RAGING.
Gee sorry to have rubbed you the wrong way with my reply. I didn't think I was speaking for everyone in L&D right now across the country, just trying to relate it to what seems to have been discussed on here lately.
My main point was that I hope she gets a bed soon.
You are aware that pregnancy is supposed to be 40 weeks right? What woman in their right mind wants their baby to come BEFORE 37 weeks...that is pre-term and you LO is NOT done cooking yet at that point, regardless of whether or not they decide to come out!
Call me crazy, but after delivering at 30 weeks with DD, I'll take the annoyance of "waiting" to go into labor with a FULL TERM baby and skip the nine week NICU stay, TYVM.
Yes I realize this and in normal pregnancies I greatly agree going as long as possible to 41 weeks is the best... but with gd and insulin dependancy my endo and ob believe it is best for baby to come between 37 and 39 weeks due to the fact that the longer the baby stays inside the more complications that can happen due to diabetes. I'm not stupid. It's not my frist pregnancy with diabetes... I know the risks and if my baby comes after 37 weeks but before 39 when I'll be induced, I'm not going to overly upset.
Oh and it should have said between not before. Which may make more sense.
If you had a date set for your LO to be born but turns out they do not have a bed for you at last minute you would be irritated as well and have ants in your pants, normal human being response.
At least this OP didn't go off on how the women in L&D all have had easy PG, no complications, and had an easy time TTC
That makes infinitely more sense! Sorry, the preemie mom "mama bear" in me gets so mad when people want their babies to come before 37 weeks, I tend to get a little cranky because I would have done anything to keep her in there longer!
There was a chick on third tri back when my LO was still in the NICU that claimed that she didn't want to go past 36 weeks because she would have 1 months' less worth of baby weight to lose...she's REALLY lucky she was behind a computer screen...
Hypocrite much? You complain that SHE never has anything nice to say and then come out with a comment like that?
Do you feel sorry for her unborn baby as well? And, are you planning to GBCB after your post? Just want to make you are following protocol...
I could care less about your response to the person who commented on tax deductions in here, I never even made a comment on it. I find that reasoning why L&D was full ridiculous to begin with. My last comment was just saying that at least this one wasn't as douchetastic as the last one. Sometimes the way your mind works boggle me.
