3rd Trimester

Supposed to have been induced this morning....

I was supposed to be induced at 6:45am. And as much as I wanted/want to go natural it's really ANNOYING that I am still sitting at home waiting for a bed to be available for me. I'm hoping still that he will come on his own between now and whenever they [don't] call, but seriously, HOW MANY PEOPLE GO INTO LABOR ON ONE DAY IN THE SAME HOSPITAL!

Gosh.

Sorry, venting.

Re: Supposed to have been induced this morning....

  • UGH!  That really stinks!  Hopefully he will get tired of waiting too Smile  But, would it be worse to be in labor and not have a bed either?  I hope they call soon!

  • Ugh, someone else posted about this too.  I think ppl are trying to get those tax deductions.  Hopefully there is an opening soon.

  • That sucks. I hated that wait when I was being induced with my first. I really hope this one decides to come before 37 and 38 weeks by herself instead of waiting until 39  weeks like C did. GAH!

Good luck I hope he comes soon! Or that a bed opens up!

  • seems to be a familiar story around here lately!  I hope they find bed for you and that your LO decides to come on his own!!!

  • Obviously.... But I am 41 weeks. Yet to drop with a baby always in my ribs. Been stripped (membranes) twice with no luck, have been stuck at 2cm for 5 weeks and have only just been starting to thin out. Can't tell me you wouldn't be a little antsy?

You are as dense as the moron that was bitching about that. You have no idea their situations- for all you know they are in pre-term labor and praying that it will stop. Or they are 42+ weeks and need to deliver. Or are having severe complications.

Definitely, should go away. Your hormones are obviously RAGING.

Gee sorry to have rubbed you the wrong way with my reply.  I didn't think I was speaking for everyone in L&D right now across the country, just trying to relate it to what seems to have been discussed on here lately.

My main point was that I hope she gets a bed soon.

Get over yourself. You aren't the only pregnant woman in the world.

You are aware that pregnancy is supposed to be 40 weeks right? What woman in their right mind wants their baby to come BEFORE 37 weeks...that is pre-term and you LO is NOT done cooking yet at that point, regardless of whether or not they decide to come out!

Call me crazy, but after delivering at 30 weeks with DD, I'll take the annoyance of "waiting" to go into labor with a FULL TERM baby and skip the nine week NICU stay, TYVM.

  • this happened to my sister she was bumped 24 hours because all beds were full. women already in labor take priority. Im sure they will call soon.

Yes I realize this and in normal pregnancies I greatly agree going as long as possible to 41 weeks is the best... but with gd and insulin dependancy my endo and ob believe it is best for baby to come between 37 and 39 weeks due to the fact that the longer the baby stays inside the more complications that can happen due to diabetes. I'm not stupid. It's not my frist pregnancy with diabetes... I know the risks and if my baby comes after 37 weeks but before 39 when I'll be induced, I'm not going to overly upset.

Oh and it should have said between not before. Which may make more sense.

If you had a date set for your LO to be born but turns out they do not have a bed for you at last minute you would be irritated as well and have ants in your pants, normal human being response.

At least this OP didn't go off on how the women in L&D all have had easy PG, no complications, and had an easy time TTCConfused

That makes infinitely more sense! Sorry, the preemie mom "mama bear" in me gets so mad when people want their babies to come before 37 weeks, I tend to get a little cranky because I would have done anything to keep her in there longer!

There was a chick on third tri back when my LO was still in the NICU that claimed that she didn't want to go past 36 weeks because she would have 1 months' less worth of baby weight to lose...she's REALLY lucky she was behind a computer screen...

  • Kdodge do you ever have anythng to nice to say? Maybe when you have your baby you wont be such a b#$%h and realize that their is more to life than picking on people on the internet.. Does it make you feel more powerful to call someone a name on the computer instead of to their face..You must be perfect and never have any complaints or worries... Geez I feel sorry for the guy that knocked you up!!!

Hypocrite much? You complain that SHE never has anything nice to say and then come out with a comment like that?

Do you feel sorry for her unborn baby as well? And, are you planning to GBCB after your post? Just want to make you are following protocol...

Yes, it's annoying that things aren't going as planned- that's called life. Yes, she can vent. Given this isn't a vent that has been seen that I can recall since being in 3rd tri, having 2 in 24 hours seems a bit like a troll, especially given the lack of posts of this one's part. It's a bit "look at me, hear me whine, give me support" and then are never seen again. I'm fairly certain you were one that argued with me if Wilma was a troll. Who won that one?

No, the OP did not mention those things. However, the person I responded to with that was referencing yesterday's post which was indeed touch on those things, especially with her comment about people doing it for tax deductions- clear reference to yesterday's douche. Were you able to follow that or do I need to draw a picture for you?

I could care less about your response to the person who commented on tax deductions in here, I never even made a comment on it. I find that reasoning why L&D was full ridiculous to begin with. My last comment was just saying that at least this one wasn't as douchetastic as the last one. Sometimes the way your mind works boggle me.
