I found it very informative. We followed it for a while and definitely saw some improvement. It is slow and you have to be very dedicated. We have now fallen off and she is no longer improving.
We started implementing ideas from the book after our first Ferber attempt was a major fail. His sleeping definately got better after implementing some ideas from the book- especially the technique for getting rid of the paci! It's a very easy read and what I really like about the book is that you can sort of pick and choose what's right for your family. It got us from about 5 wakes a night (I'm exausted just remember those nights!) down to 2 wakings.
Once we got all we could out of the book and he was a little older, we did CIO (I realize these are two very different sleep training concepts) and it brought us from 2 wakings down to 1.
