Happy New Year, everyone!
What are your hopes and plans and dreams for 2011? Anything special that will or might happen in this new year?
I always love the beginning of January, there are so many possibilities ahead. For us, I hope to get the family through our move next month, to sell our house and my parents' house (and not lose $$$), to finish up my doctorate in 2011 (so far, I'm mostly on track!) and to lose the last of the baby weight. Just a short list
Whatever your hopes, may they all come true, and may 2011 be a wonderful year for you and yours.
Re: What are your hopes for 2011?
Continued good health for my family and friends. And a BFP.
We have one major one for 2011. DH is being relocated for work in April. We will be moving away from our friends and family and living in Australia for 3-5 years. It's a big step but we're excited for the adventure. This time next year we'll be ringing in the New Year Down Under.
We are done with TTC and closing the shop. We also bought a house and moved in 2010, and H passed his (last?) board exam (for which he studied for the whole year) 5 days after the baby was born. I just want the kids and the rest of the family to be healthy; my oldest to grow up a little bit and find something she is interested in; to be able to keep my job despite major layoff; and to pay off the mortgage this year. Also hoping to be a good mother to my kids and to recover our family dinners.
I'm hoping DH and I can find somewhere nice to settle down with DS.
I'm hoping I can chill out a bit more and better appreciate my blessings... mostly my boys!

Tim and I are in intense discussions now about ways to simplfy our lives and reduce our stress. I hope we come up with some good solutions that will work for us.
I have a couple big ones for this next year.
A larger, more comfortable home. Our neighborhood is rapidly declining and I don't want L growing up thinking that some of the things he sees are 'normal' or acceptable.
Better health. I think DH and I are finally at the do-or-die stage. We are both too heavy, too tired and too old to be as active with L as we want. This year we are very motivated to get in better shape.
To stop selling myself short and get my business making money and not just limping along.
Hopefully, if I get my weight back down we can begin actively trying for #2, but honestly, I really am so thrilled to have had L that that would be just icing on the cake!
