Trouble TTC

Longing for a baby boy...

My husband had a baby girl before we were married and now we are trying to conceive our own child.  He and I really long for a baby boy-but the cost of PGD and IVF are so expensive!  Do any of you have any reliable suggestions for trying to have a little guy?  I have read about the Shettles method and other techniques-does anyone know if any of these actually work?

Hoping for blue...

  • WowzaConfused...you may want to check out in-gender.com.  Most of the women on this board just wants a healthy baby and are currently undergoing treatment to get pregnant.

  • I'm not sure you'll find the answers you're looking for here, as many of the ladies on this board are experiencing a lot of trouble conceiving their first baby and would be thrilled to have either gender.

Maybe try throwing it out on the 1st tri board. Some of those women may have some advice for you.

  • You will find varying testimonies about Shettles, but my believe is that it's too hard to implement (since you can't guess so exactly when you're going to ovulate) and that it's not reliable anyway. Also, I mean this in the friendliest way possible; this probably is not the board for you. Sex selection is not really on anyone's front burner here. Good luck to you and happy new year!
