DH really surprises me sometimes

He was absolutely sweet last night with Ian. I heard him talking with Ian at bathtime about how proud he was that Ian tried so hard, and that even though he didn't get it yesterday, DH'd keep helping with him until he did. Then I heard Ian say that he really wanted to wear his Plex underwear and was sad that he got them dirty. (awwww)

This morning, I heard DH again tell Ian how proud he was of him for trying, and asked him if he wanted to sit on the potty today. Ian immediately said, "yes!" and ran into the bathroom. He didn't actually go that time, but DH sat him on the potty in front of the TV later, and he did (eventually) without freaking out!

So, for as grumpy and optimism-sucking he was last night, he's really taken this whole potty-training thing on. We both don't totally feel Ian's ready yet, but it's really nice to know that when he is, I won't be doing it alone. I knew there was a reason I married him!

    Aww.. that is sweet.. My DH is pretty clueless about the potty training thing.
