Do You Tip Party Entertainers?

We're hiring a self-employed clown for Jackson's 1st.  She's charing $85 for the hour.  Should I tip her, if I feel she does a good job?  How much?

    Hmmm, typically if they are the owner you don't tip them.  So in this case I would say no; however, it really depends where you are in the country.  I have heard everyone and their brother expects tips in the NE.

    We are in California - I'm sure we have a bunch of cheapo's here who don't tip.

    The fact that she's self-employed made me think I wouldn't tip but wasn't sure.
