I feel like all of the sudden, Kaylee is so different! She is grabbing and holding toys, she hardly batted or swatted at toys but now she is holding them... whaaat??

 

She also likes to take curious george stuffed animal by the nose and bring it to her mouth, it looks like she is macking on him :) And she has soothed herself into a nap! She started fussing in the car, sucked as many fingers as she could fit into her mouth, and fell asleep. For a baby who hardly was napping, I am amazed!

 

I feel like a week ago, none of this was happening. Does this happen to anybody else?

    Oh yeah,  It just happens all of a sudden, and then you're like "holy crap, he's doing this and that now". i've noticed DS has come a long way in just 2 weeks. it's crazy how fast they are growing.

    Yes!  It seems like all of a sudden Wesley is interested in looking *intensely* at everything.  And he has started to grap his toys as well.  It so funny you mentioned the self-soothing as well.  Just 10 minutes ago I put him down for the night, and he self soothed himself to sleep by sucking on his hands as well.  He didn't even want his pacifier, which is definitely a surprise!

    yeah the self-soothing thing is awesome! I don't CIO or anything, but I have the hardest time getting her to nap, and for her to just suck herself to sleep like that blows my mind. I hope its not a fluke for either one of us!

    This!  My DD has the cutest softest stuffed animal.  She hearts him so much and she also grabs him and brings him to her mouth like she is macking on him too!  It's amazing how one day they are one baby and the next a completely different baby.

    I hope C starts doing this soon. I always worry she won't! Haha. I believe our LOs have the same bday, so hopefully C is close! Her hands are still in fists a lot of the time, and I am hoping she starts opening them up more and looking to grab things! Well, besides my hair.

    It seems like it happened overnight! Her hands are still usually clenched,  but she really likes grabbing her keys and a brightly colored teething pretzel. She also just started blowing spit bubbles and making fart noises! lol

    Haha aww! Well, spit bubbles have been a regular here for a few weeks. She's got that down! Hopefully she will wake up and be like "oh hey 2011, let me hold things!"
