DH thinks LO is always hungry..

DH always thinks LO is hungry...we are in disagreement about if you can over feed a baby at this age. He doesn't always show signs of being hungry. DH thinks LO is hungry b/c he will put is nose on LO's lips and he starts searching or suckling. Bizarre he does that. ...but do any of you think there is such a thing as ove feeding a 4week old?

You really can't "overfeed" a baby. If their tummies are full they will spit up/out the excesses food.

LO might just want to comfort suck.

You can overfeed by bottle- are you FF or BF? And rooting is a reflex- they will all do it if you brush a cheek, touch the upper lip, etc. I have a hard time telling too sometimes!

That's what I told DH. This is my 2nd and his first, I don't want to completely override him on everything ...

We do both, but mainly BF. I tried telling DH that LO has certain ques when he's hungry, and he's not doing any of them ...I think he's just worried he's not getting enough, who knows. ...or he's just not 100% sure.
