Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Without LO for his first New Year's :(

I am having a serious case of Mommy guilt. My DS hasn't ever been a good sleeper, but over the last 2 weeks he has really outdone himself - getting up 6 or more times a night. I am beyond exhausted, so my parents insisted on taking him overnight tonight so DH and I can get some sleep. I miss him SO much it's ridiculous. I feel guilty that my parents took him and that he'll probably keep them up all night. I am looking forward to some serious sleep but I am so sad not to have him here with us :-(

  • Don't feel guilty and try to get some sleep!

  • That's really nice of your parents to take him for the night!.. don't feel guilty, enjoy your sleep.. (i suggest having a few drinks just to make sure you can sleep well)
  • You are truly doing what is best for LO by getting some sleep.  He needs a well rested, healthy mommy to be happy!

I concur!  Wink  That is a tough one, though.  Like a pp said - you're doing what's best for him by getting some much-needed rest.  I won't deny you that mommy guilt because I'd feel the same way, but do try to enjoy your time alone with hubs and your rest knowing he's in good hands.

btw, he is REALLY cute!  I love his Christmas photo!!!

    Happy New Year!
