I went to my weekly OB appointment this week and to my (pleasant!) surprise they decided that I'm not being induced now.
After 3 weeks with little to no progress (still 70% eff, 0cm) the nurse practitioner decided that if the baby wants to stay put and come on his own, that's fine by her, and she'll recommend that to the OB when he's in the office. I'm glad this is the decision. I'd rather my son get the time to fully bake before making his appearance - not to mention the mere thought of pitocin was wearing on my psyche.
So as of now, NO induction on the 4th of January, and back to the waiting game. I have an appointment on the 5th with my actual OB/GYN so we'll see what he says and see if there has been any progress.
Hopefully the little bugger comes around the time he's supposed to - Jan 9th sounds fine to me!
Re: no induction now
I totally agree with the natural/induction thing. I really want to avoid it at all costs.
And January 9th IS a great day!! haha
