For some reason, I don't even want to sign on to my FB today.
With the exception of my close fam and friends and my mom group, I just have a hard time stomaching all of the "Happy New Year" posts and messages.
I don't know why it annoys me so badly. It just does. It just feels so fake to wish a Happy New Year to 178 people I will likely never see in 2011.
Re: A Pet Peeve...
Today my FB annoyance is with all of my local friends saying things like "WTH? A thuderstorm on NYE in Michigan?! We should be having snowstorms!" These are all the same people who biitch about snow when we get it.
And yes, it's 50 degrees and thunderstorming in Michigan today.
OH another thing I hate seeing on NYE is all the people that work in the bar/nightclub industry posting their links to their club and yelling at me all day to buy tickets to their "BIGGEST PARTY OF THE YEAR".
Everyone knows NYE sucks at the bar. Stop trying to convince me otherwise!!!!
Hmmm. I'm apparently a little grumpy today.
Most of my friends are either living in New England, or originally from NE and living some place warmer. So when it snows I get the annoying updates about the weather/driving/roads, and then the EVEN MORE annoying updates saying "So glad that it's 70 degrees in *suchandsuch* today!" in response to all the snow posts. Ugh!
Today everyone is either saying Happy New Year or posting their resolutions. I DON'T CARE. Serves me right for even checking, I guess.
