I have yet to find a nanny here in the valley but when I was up north it worked out to about $7 an hour for a nanny, plus large tips when she traveled with us.
When I was looking into this I went to online ads, craigslist etc to get figures (tho' I would never use a stranger or craigslist.) Hopefully some other girls who use daycare will have some more answers for you. I found my last nanny by asking everyone I knew. The daughter of a friend wanted to be a nanny and eventually run a daycare and she worked out wonderfully. GL!
We pay $200/week for my son's daycare. He is two years old, infants are more. We live in Litchfield Park and he goes to a Church/School near our house. We LOVE the daycare center and love his teachers. I also like that he can attend pre-school there next year.
We found it by asking everyone for recommendations and then following up with checking the license and recent licensing visits online. This daycare comes highly recommended and we haven't had a problem.
My friends use Kindercare in Chandler and they pay $250 a week for the infant (0-12 months) room and then $200 a week after that. I think they said the standard rate is $225 a week for the older rooms, but they get a multi-kid discount.
My other friend had a nanny share and between her and her cousin, the nanny got $150 a day for 2 kids and then $180 a day when they added the third. It was $75 for each kid, but there was no way my friend could afford that for two kids, so she paid $105 a day for two kids and her cousin still paid the $75 for her one kid. She said this was on the high end, but they thought it was worth it.
