H and I are going to sell our Tahoe. It is in great condition. We took it to have it detailed two days ago, they brought it back and had placed 2 scented wafers on the dashboard under the a/c vent. Today we took the wafers off (we haven't driven it since it had been cleaned, they picked up and dropped it back off) and the paint where the wafers are completely bubbled up and is peeling off. H and I looked at the wafer and it clearly says not to place on dash!

(scroll to see both areas)
I called the people and they are supposed to come over and look at it and they better fix it. We were planning on posting ads today to sell the car, but now that it has that problem I am worried about if people want to come and view it. I am very irritated because this will really cut into the time that we wanted to sell, and you would think that the person that placed the wafers there would know better.
Would you still post ads and try to sell it today, or wait till it is fixed/repainted which could take who knows how long?

I would get it fixed before trying to sell.
And by get it fixed, I mean have the carwash place take care of it. If they give you any trouble, ask for the manager and ask for their insurance information and file a claim. (I work in insurance, it should be their responsibility since they caused the damage).
I like how it says not to place on dash boards and they did anyway. Smart.
I would be pissed too....they need to replace that section.
That sucks, I would be pissed too. I would wait to hear back from the place you got it detailed, then have them fix it before posting the ad.
I know you are anxious, but if you were buying a car and saw something like that you may think that people didn't take such good care of the rest of the car too.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I just got off the phone with the car wash place, they told me they would pick it up on Monday and get it fixed. I am glad that they are fixing it (they would have had to no matter what), but irritated it happened in the first place. I won't be going back there again.
