13. Any nursery ideas? *bonus points for pictures* Our walls are a light gray and we plan to keep them that way- with white furniture and pops of yellow. My DH is an illustrator and will probably do a bunch of prints for the room and we'll add some vintage pieces! I'm super excited for decorating!

4. How did you find out you were pregnant?My eyes were itchy and I remembered that was a random symptom, also we "weren't preventing" so I took a HPT, left the bathroom, and remembered a half hour later and ran back so fast!
5. Did you tell your husband / partner right away?No, I waited till Christmas Eve, he opened the HPT and a little outfit and ornament that said "Baby's first christmas"
6. Have you told your family yet? How did you / will you tell them? Not yet! We have too much family to describe all the ways here.

4. How did you find out you were pregnant? - HPT, although I had a pretty good feeling after I almost started bawling watching the Christmas lighting at Rockefeller.

7. Doctor or midwife?- Both. Had a c-section with my first and I'm hoping for a VBAC. Found a OB who is very pro-VBAC and they have a midwife on staff.

5. Did you tell your husband / partner right away? Yep - he's the one who insisted that I test, instead of just waiting to see if my period came eventually.
6. Have you told your family yet? How did you / will you tell them? Yep - we told our parents right away. Extended family is getting told little by little... should be done in the next week!
7. Doctor or midwife? undecided. Seeing an Ob now, but may change to a midwife/birthing center.

Yep, hubby was waiting right outside the bathroom6. Have you told your family yet? How did you / will you tell them? Not yet. Waiting until 8 weeks to tell them. Telling DH parents on his dad's bday with "I love Grandpa/I love Grandma" onesies. And probably will tell my parents the same way..
7. Doctor or midwife? I am seeing an OB for now. If they change laws and allow VBAC in birthing centers then I will switch... but that's unlikely!
8. Do you think you'll get an epidural? No, I had one last time and hated it! It slowed things down and made it near impossible to push! We ended up with a c/s and I attribute it largely to my epidural

4. How did you find out you were pregnant? I had IUI and was for sure it didn't work. I felt nothing. I tested on DPO in the morning and got a negative. Then on my way home from work I hadn't gone to the bathroom in like 6 hrs and thought this is the perfect time let's try again. I did with a cheapie and thought I saw a line so I broke out the first response and it was totally positive.

6. Have you told your family yet? How did you / will you tell them? I called my mom and blurted it out right away after I told my DH. My husband blurted it out while I was having a conversation with his mom at the Cheesecake Factory.

My male cat (age 10 years) been acting out of character, extra affectionate and snuggling with me for the past week and a half...Like he had a secret that he wasn't going to share...so I suspected but held off to test till yesterday...We found out together after I asked DH to go to the store to buy some tests.

5. Did you tell your husband / partner right away? He watched the tests with me.

6. Have you told your family yet? How did you / will you tell them? We told all immediate family with instructions not to tell anyone else. I want to have their support and I want to be able to talk about what is going on with my body if I need to.

7. Doctor or midwife? I have a Dr. right now and will be sticking with her, I really like her.

4. How did you find out you were pregnant? - Was talking to my BFF about how I'd been feeling and she told me that that sounded just like when she found out she was pregnant so we went out and bought a box of tests
5. Did you tell your husband / partner right away? - as soon as I got home, I was at her house at the time
6. Have you told your family yet? How did you / will you tell them? - We told them at about 11 or 12 weeks (found out at 3). We just went from one house to the next (3 sets of parents) and just told them.

8. Do you think you'll get an epidural? - Yes, I want all the drugs as soon as I can get them. I haven't seen a prize for going natural yet lol.
9. Will you find out the sex? - Yes, we think it's a boy from our last ultrasound, but the umbilical cord was in the way so it was hard to tell.
10. Are you hoping for a girl? Or a boy? - I kind of want a girl to dress up in all the cute little tutu's and dresses but my husband really wants a boy. I'll be happy either way, I'd like one of each and this is our first.

I had started to have baby fever, went out with husband and friends for dollar margaritas, had one too many, and told husband I want to go home and make a baby. 7. Doctor or midwife? I'm pulling towards midwife. My normal Gyn appts are with a NP, CNM, so I'm hoping my insurance will let me use her. I much prefer her to the OB she works under.

For my family I had my grandpa slip it into the prayer before dinner. For DH's family our Christmas present for his grandma was the u/s photo in a frame, and everyone got to see her open it.

The little peanut had other plans for us, and we got a BFP!

4. How did you find out you were pregnant? I had been charting for months and was finally over it. I was supposed to be getting ready to go run errands and for some reason I randomly decided to PIAC. I kept telling myself I was crazy as I started to get in the shower and took a peek and saw 2 lines.

5. Did you tell your husband / partner right away? Yes. I had this whole scenario planned on how I would tell him, but I walked out of teh bathroom in disbelief my hands shaking and said "I think I am pregnant". He didn't believe me because he couldn't really see the line it was so faint.

6. Have you told your family yet? How did you / will you tell them? Yes. I gace my mom a baby ornemant after we got done decorating their tree and it took her a minute to get it and we had to tell my dad because he didn't get it. We told my IL's by making shirts for our dogs that said Big Brother and Big sister and my MIL was really sick when we told her and she said "What the helland started crying."

7. Doctor or midwife? Amazing Doctor

8. Do you think you'll get an epidural? I used to say no (my MIL was paralyzed in child birth from a freaky combination of allergies and drugs, but that had nothing to do with my decision), but now I have changed my mind and would like an epidural. When I had my HSG done it was one of the most painful things I ahve ever felt I quickly changed my mind.

9. Will you find out the sex? Yes! We are going to have the US lady write it down adn go to dinner with our families and reveal it to everyone at the same time.

10. Are you hoping for a girl? Or a boy? A girl. I always wnated boys, but ever since getting pregnant I changed my mind.

11. What do you THINK you're having? A Girl. MIL swears it s a boy. Guess we ahve a 50/50 chance.

12. Was this pregnancy planned? How long were you trying? Very planned. We started trying January 1st 2010 and got pregnant Nov. 4 2010 so 10 months.

12b: If you were trying for awhile, what do you think worked? meds? I had an HSG right before getting pregnant and at first one side was funky so they think it pushed some crud out.

13. Any nursery ideas? *bonus points for pictures* My theme is lambs. I have found some of the cutest lamb decorations adn I think it is so soft and sweet. My crib is natural wood and the dresser is an antiqued green dresser so I want everything soft and sweet no matter if it isa boy or a girl

8. Do you think you'll get an epidural? I really, really don't want one if I can help it...because it terrifies me. ((I am deathly afraid of needles so the less the better))... But if it's absolutely unbearable I am not 100% against it. We'll see.
