This happened at the very end with my first too. Doctor told me that the baby drops lower into the pelvis and it makes the stomach smaller b/c there's less of the baby in your stomach. Interesting.
At 36 weeks I measured 36 weeks. At 37 weeks I measured 35 weeks. Doctor's explanation was that she dropped. Last pregnancy I asked why my somach looked smaller around this time and I was told it was b/c the baby dropped into my pelvis.
whatevs. If you look at pictures of me from a week or so ago my stomach actually looks bigger.
So by "stomach" you really mean "uterus." Your overall belly could look smaller once LO drops - that makes sense. Was just confused because the actual stomach (the organ...where your food goes) does not get smaller when the baby drops.

I don't understand why you don't understand?

I don't think a centimeter or two is that noticable. But to each their own...
I will say that my belly seems to have a different shape every now and then but I think it is how the baby is laying in there.
Right, that's what I meant.
