Ok...now my doctor has me freaked out!

Yesterday was my 2nd appointment of the week for my twice a week checkups now. NST was fine but she talked to me about what the specialist did the other day, all my measurements being ahead and the extra amniotic fluid.

She said longest I will go is 39 weeks which brings me to Feb. 13th. BUT...she said with the fluid, and different measurements and levels it is possible she may want to induce earlier, although she didn't say how early yet. BUT...the scariest part, she said that some women go into labor on their own with the things I have as early as 35 weeks!!! That is only 2 weeks away!!!!! DH's face was priceless. So naturally because she said it's possible he thinks we are having a baby in 2 weeks. So him and my mother have me so freaked out I could barely sleep! We even went to the store yesterday and went through every baby aisle and wrote down all the things we still need.

Has anyone else who is a 2nd timer or know anyone who had a high level of fluid? This never happened to me. A friend of mine said a friend had the same thing and she delivered 3 weeks early, which would be in 3 weeks for me.

I had a dr's appt yesterday and she said my fluids were high. She didn't really seem to concerned.  I will get a sonogram every week until I deliver.  (I have been measuring two weeks ahead)

I get a sonogram every week too. Mine did seem a bit concerned. Doctors have such different views I guess. She said the specialist always freaks people out, but she made me lose sleep last night. As much as I want to meet him asap, I want him to stay in there until he's done baking. Good luck to you.

Hmmm... at my 31 week sono I was told my levels were increased, but still high end of "normal." My MW said it is likely caused by my GD, but did not mention anything about going early. I have a u/s scheduled for 36 weeks to check on everything again, and my c/s is scheduled for 39 weeks. I hope to make it that long, and hopefully you will too!

I have a friend that delivered her daughter in September. She had high fluid levels and she was measuring 44 weeks at 38!

Her docs did not induce her right away. They let her go until 10 days over due and then brought her in for an induction. The induction failed because they said she had too much fluid and it wasn't getting her uterus going enough so they delivered by c-section. She was super bummed!
