20 months with no AF...

until today. So weird. At first I didn't know what to think. And then I was like, "duh!" Good thing I had some random supplies on hand. Not too shabby to go nearly two years without AF! And honestly, I am sort of happy, because I was wondering if I'd need to actively wean to get my fertility going again. Guess not. So...back to charting on FF since we want to try and TTC#2 this summer.

  • I would start charting, you never know how regular your cycles will be since you are still BF. Is Libby still nursing at night? I've gotten pregnant TWICE while nursing so it can be done and we weren't even try or having much $ex since we were both so tired. I would say not to actively wean unless you are having problems TTC once you start trying, or if your cycles/ovulation are very irregular. How long do you plan nurse Libby?

Before I got pregnant with this one, I had gone without AF for 21 months! Well minus 3 days of random spotting in december when she was 6 months old, but my OB said that wasn't AF and she wasn't sure why that happened. So currently I'm going on 26 months of no AF and by the time this one comes it'll be about 29 months and considering I'll be EBF, maybe I can hold off an additional 12 months after that!! I love no AF.

  • For some reason I had this idea before opening this post that it was going to finish as "...but I got KU again anyway!" LOL I have no idea why, I was just convinced you were pregnant. Maybe because AF was all of one day late for me this cycle (showed up this morning) and last night I was freaking out a little about being pregnant again.

Anyway, that was a long rambling way of saying wow, nearly 2 years is a long time, so that's kind of awesome! But also good that it came back on it's own so you can start TTCing again in the summer. Also a good idea to start charting again since your cycles might be a little wonky - the Fertility Friend obsession begins anew! Stick out tongue

  • Great isn't it!  I went until Ashton was 13 months old before I got my first AF so that was almost 2 years:-)
  • 20 months! So lucky =) I'm glad it works out for TTC plans too! How perfect =)
