3rd Trimester

I have an irritable uterus...

and it is getting annoying! I am in no way shape or form wanting to give my baby an eviction notice but I would really like to go at least a couple days without all the contractions. The hurt, I breathe through them, they are timeable and THEY SUCK! And just as quick as they came on, they let up. Everytime the set in, I get a water, plant myself of the couch and after a few hours they go away. This is like every other day and it is getting very old very quick!

My doctors explaination, "You probably just have an irritable uterus." Thanks, I kinda figured! I am not going to L&D every other day... so I just wait it out and they ease up usually in about 4-6 hours. I have an appointment on Tuesday coming up and I am going to remind her that we talked about Procardia at home when I went into PTL at 29 weeks. I understand that pregnancy isn't always fun and that somethings are uncomfortable but if there is something that we can do to help get through these next weeks... LETS GIVE IT A SHOT!

Alos, I hope you and your doc can figure how to stop the contractions for a few weeks.  It sounds miserable.

  • A terbutaline pump? That must have been awful! That crap made my heart race and feel like I wanted to crawl out of my skin.

    I answered you back!
