My Mom gave me my baby book the other day, and in it

in 3rd Trimester
was the detailed bill from my birth. My Moms entire stay (2/24/82 to 3/1/82) all doctors expenses and everything else it was to have me came to just $1800! Oh how times have changed, lol

    Please don't take this the wrong way but man... SO freakin glad I live up here  in the North Pole! lol ;o) I don't know how you ladies do it! Some of the expenses I've heard over the past nine months...yikes!

    This exactly!!!  :-o I'd freak out if I had to pay $1800 - I'm worried about paying for the $200 circumsicion DH wants and the parking fees for us while there!!!  HOLY COW!!!

    Haha I was telling my Grandma how much we were going to save when my hubby added me to his insurance. She says there's no way it would cost almost $10,000 to have a baby and that when she had my mom it cost her $150 for the doctor and $150 for the hospital bill. Awww the '50s... good ole days. :)

    Yeah, I should had added that my c/section cost was $18,000 but we "only" had to pay $5000 of it. $1800 for the entire birth isn't all that bad....

    Oh how I love the military..... Despite constantly moving & leaving for weeks/months on end, at least we don't get a hospital bill lol.
