Stiff Hands

in 3rd Trimester

The last couple of mornings I have woken up with really stiff hands, to the point that it is almost painful to curl my fingers to loosen my hands up.

Has anyone had this before? This is the first time this has ever happened to me.

    My fingers tend to cramp up a lot now, especially when I try to write or when I'm cooking and trying to stir something. It's so annoying!

    I have it too!  I've noticed it the last few mornings when I got up.  I assume it's just fluid retension in the joints, but it sure isn't comfortable!

    For me it started at 32 weeks on my right hand only. It would feel numb and fall asleep at night. BY week 35 it was my right and left hands. My doc said it was related to carpal tunnel in pg (even though I had no history pre-pg). Supposedly it goes away a week or two after delivery.

    I have it all the time. Especially when I first wake up in the morning. I have a really hard time gripping things.
