If you're spending NYE at home, are you making any goodies for the weekend?
DH will be home with us for the three day weekend and I'm trying to think of a couple meals to have over the weekend. We've been eating leftovers from Christmas this week, but now the only thing left is a little ham.
The two things that have come to mind so far are chicken lettuce wraps for one dinner (and makes yummy leftovers) and a pear kuchen for NY breakfast.
Any other ideas/suggestions? I'm not looking for super elaborate, but yummy and a little special would be nice.

I posted this below but I'm doing Chicken parm. Not hard or anything but one of DH's favorites, and I haven't made it in a long time.

We're having a couple over with their 2YO. I'm baking salmon for myself and my gf (who doesn't eat meat apart from fish), and a porkloin for our husbands and kids. I'll serve it with roasted asparagus and fingerling potatoes and then apple pie for dessert.
I was going to do an appy but I can't decide what to do- I'm thinking of doing a baguette sliced into crustinis broiled with fresh basil, slice each of grape tomato and bocconcini, then a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinagrette... something like this
