Which type of changing table do you ladies have or prefer? I'm debating the kind with the open shelves that you could put baskets on, or the type with drawers so everything is hidden? I'm leaning towards one with shelves for "easier access" to supplies, but wanted to get your input. Thanks!
We use a 6 drawer dresser and a changing pad on top. We use a shelf liner ($1 store) underneath the changing pad so it doesn't move while we're using it. I have a basket off to the side with all my diapers/wipes and a smaller basket with lotions and junk in it.
We had planned the dresser route, but ended up with a free changing table. Ours has 1 drawer and open sides. So far, I like the open sides because I can fit a variety of things on it. One shelf has baskets with our cloth diapers in them, the other has stacks of blankets that would be too tall to fit in a drawer.
We went the dresser route with the changing pad on top. We had a glass top made to both protect the dresser and to keep the changing pad from sliding - worked well with our first.
We've got a low dresser with a changing pad on top as well. We do also have shelves on that wall so I plan to put bins on it to hold the cloth diapers and such.
We don't have room for a dresser since we are in a city apt. with 2 bedrooms and the one room is our office with lots of computers. My DH is an IT guy so we have one to many computers. Any how we like the idea of a changing table with open shelves that way we have more storage room. We hope to get this one from Land of Nod but it's kinda pricey https://www.landofnod.com/family.aspx?c=361&f=5052 off of our registry. If we don't get it we may go with something from IKEA. Good luck!
