DS1's birthday party is Sunday. This is the first time we've had more than just a couple kids - he wanted to invite all his neighborhood friends. We're having it at a community center and I was thinking a 6' sub would be the easiest. My boys will eat that and I know the adults like it, but are subs something pretty universally liked by the preschool crowd? I could get pizza, but we planned on doing activities first and then food/cake, so they'd be cold and they'd be something we'd have to get right before the party, whereas we could get the sub in the morning.
Re: Would your kid eat a sub sandwich?
My kids both eat turkey subs. Do they get to pick out their own toppings? If so, then I think most kids would be fine with it.
DS might pick the turkey and cheese out, but actually biting into a sub roll? Probably not.

Yes, dd would definitely eat a sub. Turkey, ham, roast beef...whatever. She's not a picky eater.
My guys wouldn't likely eat it *whole*.. but might pick at the bun and the cheese. As long as there were a few other things to eat though (like fruit or some cheese/crackers/veggies) they'd be fine.
It's not like the last meal they're ever going to have (we hope!) say do what works for you!

Michelle is beyond super picky. She likes cheese but would not pick it out of any kind of sandwich.
