Got a psychic reading (not Cherri22 this time)

My husband thought it was funny that I paid for a Cherri22 reading, so for Christmas he bought me a reading with a local psychic. It was really interesting. She reads playing cards instead of Tarot cards.

Of course first question was if I am going to have kids. She said she sees us having trouble getting pregnant, but that we will get pregnant in 2011 and hinted at the 5th month.

For my other question, she said I will be stuck at my job for a while, but she said she can't see me letting someone else watch my child once I do get pregnant, so she said I will end up doing daycare out of the home.

I think the most interesting thing is she said said one of my dogs has earned his keep. She said there were two young men casing our house at one point and our dog's bark scared them away. They ended up going about 3 blocks away.

I am not a big believer in psychics, and at one point I swear she almost cited the Mayo Clinic as her source, so I'm definitely only taking it as entertainment, but it was pretty fun.

Has anyone else ever seen a psychic? Did they predict anything that just blew your mind?

I've never been to one, but always wanted to go just for kicks. I find what she told you to be very intriguing though! Especially the part about the dog - that would've freaked me out a little bit!

I went to one with an ex-boyfriend one time. She described my future husband as a guy completely different from that ex. I thought that was pretty funny! Although, she didn't describe DH either...almost except the height...she said my future husband would be tall and my DH is only 5'4". I'm 5'2" so maybe she meant taller than me. LOL.

My mother and grandmother went to one that said my gram had lost her husband recently and that she saw my mom with three "living"children. 2 boys and a girl....My oldest brother died before My other brother and I were born and just after the reading my mom was pregnant with my baby brother. She never advertised...word of mouth. Wish I knew who she was.

i used to have a reguar one i went to. i started seeing her when i was 19...she was right about a whole lot of things but has told me for the past 3 years that we were going to have a baby soon...yeah.........not so much. so i stopped wasting my money

i went when i was pg with my DS, she said I would have twins after, which i guess might be a possibility i have twin brothers and I needed clomid to get pg the first time, which increases your chances of multiples...... ALso My grandmother died when i was 3 mos. pg and she said dont worry your grandmother has met your baby, creepy but it is fun !!.

That's great that you had a fun time with your reading! We drive by a psychic every few weeks and I always joke we should stop by and see what she has to say. Maybe next month. I know MH used to talk to a psychic/astrologer before he met me. He says she described me to a T and made lots of predictions that have come true. I never spoke with her, though maybe I should look her up!

I agree with rein , I hope she's right about 2011, but that you don't have to wait that long! Fingers crossed for you.

I went to a psychic in October. The woman who did the reading is my best friend's Aunt so it was a little more personal. She knows DH & I well so there are things she knew ahead of time. Anyway, my BFF's Aunt knew what my first question would be (Baby!) purely because she knows DH & I. She hesitated when she went to speak and I told her to give it to me straight and she kept asking me if I was ready. (I knew it wasn't good at that point). She told me that she did see us with A baby, but it wasn't anytime soon. She predicted around Christmas next year I would become pregnant for the first time, I would know about it but when it was time for AF the next month (Jan), AF would come, but heavier and I would know I lost the pregnancy then. She said at that point, we will set things in motion but it's going to be at least a year or two from now. That was a bit of a bummer. I know my BFF's Aunt and have for years. She's amazing and I personally trust her 110% so I know she wouldn't lie to me. On that note it was hard to hear. I hope she's wrong, I hope we prove her wrong but I'm prepared for what might lie ahead. I admit, it's not for everyone but I've been having readings since I was 16 and it's all about how you take the information you're given. (Providing the person isn't a nut job) lol

My mom went to a psychic about 10 years ago. One of the things she told her is that my grandfather had something wrong with his legs and that this would turn into something life altering. At the time, my mom told her no that he was fine. About 8 years later, my grandfather developed circulation issues in his legs. He elected to have surgery to try to increase bloodflow. We are not sure what happened but the surgery resulted in decreased bloodflow and cognitive abilities. He later passed away six months after the surgery due to complications. In the end, the psychic was right. My grandfather lived a full life and we were fortunate enough to spend time with him before he passed.
