Poor DH, and a small confession

DH has been sick with a bad cough. He has slept on the couch the past 3 nights because he doesn't want to keep me up with his coughing. I don't sleep well as it is. I feel bad for him that he's been on the couch(I did tell him it was fine to sleep upstairs!) and I can hear him coughing so I feel bad he doesn't feel well, BUT, I sleep SO much better when he isn't in bed with me! If he isn't in the house, I don't sleep at all, because I am scared lol but I sleep just fine when he is downstairs. He snores and just makes weird noises in his sleep and I am a VERY light sleeper, so it keeps me awake. I think he knows that I sleep better when he is on the couch lol

  • hahahaha I know how you feel!!!! My FI snores and insists on cuddling all night long ( i hate being touched at all when I am trying to sleep).  I kicked him out of our bed about a week ago . I've been sleeping sooo much better! Yay for us!

  • I totally understand what you mean!  It's like everytime he moves he wakes me up.  I am secretly happy when he falls alseep on the couch after an intense call of duty session because I get the bed alllllll to myself LOL.  But I pay for it the next day because it hurts his back so I have to listen to him whine and complain all day lol.

  • My S/O has spent several nights on the couch since the Snoogle came into our lives (and also since my snoring has apparently increased).

We only have a double bed so it really was getting uncomfortable for the both of us! We get lots of snuggle time in otherwise, but I sure don't mind having our bed to myself and getting a good sleep (minus the pee breaks, of course).

hahaha! Yeah mine tries to steal mine! I will get up to go to the bathroom and come back in and he will be all wrapped up in it.... what a weirdo!

  • Yep, DH is a snorer. He voluntarily is sleeping on the couch. We both sleep better. I can go back to sleep after the billionth trip to the bathroom. He doesn't get woken up and asked to roll over a billion times a night.

  • I can hear my DH in the spare room now, snoring away. I snore like a freight train when pregnant and he is a very light sleeper. We have a spare bed just for that reason. He snores too, but I can sleep through it. Seperate beds are great, I love having all that space to myself with all my pillows. I can sleep any which way I want and not have to worry about disturbing him. We had company at Christmas and had to share. I gotta say it wasn't as comfy, and we'll be thinking about a bigger bed once this baby is delivered and the snoring issue is resolved for me. Enjoy it while you can, I know I am. Smile
  • My DH slept on the couch from week 34-38. I am 40+ weeks and he's been back in the bed because I have dropped that its not too bad sleeping now. He was a champ, he knew it was best that I got my sleep because I was still working and needed my rest!
