Drinking on NYE?

So, I'm smack in the middle of my 2WW... I've been having a glass of wine here and there...

And I'm wondering, anyone else in this position planning on having a few cocktails tomorrow for New Year's Eve?  I've heard mixed reviews of whether or not alcohol could do ANY sort of damage this early in the game if there is ANY change I'm KU... So I'm torn....

SHG on 8/13/13 ~ uterus looked good!
Diagnosed with DOR on 8/16/13 ~ AMH 0.27 ~ repeat AMH 0.19

4th medicated cycle ~ 9/4/13 ~ Bravelle, trigger shot, IUI ~ BFP! ~ EDD: 6/11/14 ~ heartbeat of 118 at 6w3d ~ mmc discovered at 9w1d

    I am drinking, although not heavily, and look where I am in my 2ww. You're fine.

    Yep. I worried a lot in the beginning, now I just say "eff it", honestly.

    I don't get wasted drunk at all (I am too old for that, anyway) Stick out tongue but I certainly don't NOT drink while TTC, at anytime in my cycle.

    Hel!s to the yes I'm drinking, and I would even if I was later in the 2WW.  You'll be fine.  But if you are worried about it, take it easy on the shots Wink

    I think the answer to this depends on the person. My best friend is a dr. and she said that while it is fine to have 1, she doesn't think I should personally because if something goes wrong (ie. no BFP, MC or potential problem with a baby) she thinks I would blame this. And, I know that she is right, I would. (BTW- this was solicited advice). That is just my personality- I stress over the details. So, I just feel better abstaining.

     But, for other people she totally tells them it's fine. It's whatever you are comfortable with at this point.

    Well, no, I won't be drinking at all on NYE bc I'll be at work 11pm-7am :(

    However I'm having a Jan 1st party with some friends and will def be enjoying some cocktails... then perhaps some BD'ing (after the guests have left, of course!)

    AF just came for me. I will def be drinking. I might drink more than if I was in the 2WW, but I also say drink til its pink. DH and I are staying home because he works early the next day, but we are making Pirate Punch (rum, peach schnapps, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and strawberries).

    I'm glad that someone brought this up because I was thinking about having a couple of drinks on NYE. I just ovulated so I don't want to risk it.

     

    However, I think I may drink until it's pink! :)

    Wellll.... I guess it's wishful thinking/hoping. ;) I used OPKs last month, never got a + (but had O symptoms)... Using OPK's made me pretty stressed, so DH and I decided to just have tons of sex this month and not test (and see what happens). Last week I had sharp, sharp pain/cramping in my left ovary and EWCM, so I'm hoping that was my O day... If no BFP this month, I think I'm going to start using OPK's again next month... then maybe start temping?? Still pretty new to all of this...

    Oh silly, no, I was not talking about sex! I was talking about this dance we do when we get drunk... called the baby dance... I thought eevryone knew what BD means ;)

    You and your phantom baby don't share a blood supply until 6 weeks-ish. 

    Drink 'til it's pink is perhaps TTGP's most sage collective advice. 

    After TTC with IR PCOS:
    April 2011: Metformin 1500mg + Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel + Prometrium = BFP!
    Beta #1 at 14DPO: 197 Beta #2 at 18DPO: 1296
    At 40w6d, our Team Green surprise came by unplanned C-section and changed our lives forever!

    I haven't O'ed yet but I blame on going out with a bang!! DH & I are going on a booze-free diet (to lose weight & get in shape) starting Jan. 1 until our birthdays (Feb 7 & Feb 9) and then hopefully another month after that if we still want to lose more. I plan on enjoying a lot of champagne tomorrow night!! :)
